[ChatAction] Summary of My Meeting With Jim Garrison

Hi! Jim Garrison and I met yesterday for our regular update. He, on behalf of Humanity Rising, is deeply grateful for the ongoing dedication and commitment of our group. Here is a Top Level Summary of our dialogue. (BTW – our chat took place during the latter stages of the Washington Insurrection!) There are three main highlights.


  1.  Ubiquity University’s Leverage of Humanity Rising
Humanity Rising has significantly matured over the past 160 days and with this, Ubiquity University is looking to leverage its coverage. Jim will be announcing these developments over the next several days /weeks. I am going to highlight four of them:

Nano Credits
Humanity Rising Sessions will be identified as “Nano” credits for those undertaking their studies with the university. For this reason, all conveners / presenters are being asked to prepare a type of “Curriculum Overview” for their offering. What this means is a day-by-day overview of the content as well as a comprehensive listing of references including links to articles, videos, authors, podcasts etc. so that students can take a “deeper dive” into the material. OtherNetworks is well positioned for this evolution! This also means that we need to invest our efforts in building this library as we prepare for The Peace Lab scheduled for March 8 to 12 2021.

Masters in Regenerative Action
Ubiquity University will be offering this masters accreditation in 2021.

HR Podcasts
UU is looking into how they can transform their daily HR offerings into podcasts. Jim asked if there would be anyone (or more) in our cadre who has the necessary skillset (editing video recordings and turning them into podcasts) and the time to invest (it is a volunteer position). Let me know!

UU and Presencing Institute Collaboration
For all of us “U Theory” fans, Jim and Otto Scharmer are exploring a more intentional collaboration between them.


  1.  HR Chat Admin
Jim gave us the go-ahead to gain admin access to the HR Chat for downloading purposes.


  1.  Heightened Expectations of ChatAction
As we prepare for the Cities Rising week, we have much to be proud about when it comes to our accomplishments. Jim was very excited about the role we will be playing in Marilyn’s and Beth’s week. He commented that our maturation has kept pace with HR and we are well positioned for his ongoing support. He offered me the opportunity to share ChatAction’s purpose, process and projects on the main stage once we all have Cities Rising under our collective belts. We’ve come a long way!!!

That said – we have also raised the bar when it comes to next week. Today, Hilary and I were on a Zoom call with Marilyn’s and Beth’s Reflective Practitioners from around the world and experienced an exemplary gathering of diversity, deep experience and beautiful human energy. ChatAction was clearly positioned as the place where deeper dives will be happening and many said they would be happy to join us – at least for some of the time. It will be up to all of us to up our game when it comes to showing up, calling in others, as well as the way we ignite and excite our community following a session that will have a pace and process very different than what we have experienced to date.
