Connecting People Study

Social Work: considering that people have friends, relatives, neighbors, mentors, and a host of acquaintances.

Connecting People Study is the product of social work research in the United Kingdom. The proponents have designed a social work process model they call the Connecting People Intervention. This process encourages social workers to develop their own network of connections in the community in order to assist their clients to develop a stronger network of social supports. The model encourages a partnership between the worker and the client for building the client’s social network.
